With more than 20 years of experience in photochemical modeling of atmospheric pollutants, we offer advanced services to evaluate the environmental impact of projects submitted to the Environmental Impact Assessment System (SEIA) and for the self-assessment of operational emissions.
Importance of the Service
Our approach follows the “Guide for the Use of Air Quality Models” from SEA as of March 2023, providing a clear and practical framework for environmental assessment. We use air quality models to evaluate the impact of emissions on air and human health.
Features of Our Service
Recommended Models: We employ models like the Community Multi-scale Air Quality (CMAQ), recommended by the SEA guide, to simulate atmospheric photochemistry.
Meteorological Modeling: We generate the necessary meteorological information for these photochemical models using the WRF-ARW model.
Services Offered
Statistical analysis using OpenAir-Project and Python to develop a baseline.
Complete modeling of a year's meteorology.
Photochemical modeling of PM2.5, ozone, and air toxics.
Environmental impact evaluation.
Determination of influence areas.
Studies of short and long-range pollutant transport.
Our Experience
We have applied CMAQ in various areas of Chile and Peru, including mining, energy, smelting zones, and urban areas, achieving precise and reliable results.
